The Westinghouse AN/ASQ-153\AN/AVQ-23 Pave Spike is an electro-optical laser-defining targeting pod used to guide laser-guided grenades at target in daylight, visual conditions. USAF used Pave Spike with F-4 Phantom D/E from 1974 to 1989. The pod is now obsolete, LANTIRN and AN/ASQ-228 ATFLIR are now used.
