Introduction- DROOPY

Good day all-
My real name is Scot. Nice to meet you.. 'DROOPY' is a nickname I was bestowed with during US Army Basic at Ft McClellan, AL.
I am a nearly life-long aviation enthusiast and student. My first 16+ years from 73-89 I lived in the North flow arrival/ South flow departure corridor, and the downwind legs of Tinker AFB. My dad often would take me to both the commercial airport and Tinker to watch airplanes. So my interest in aviation began at an extremely early age.
Joined the OK Army Guard as an aircraft fueler during Junior year of HS. 6yrs with an Honorable. Drove a semi-truck all over the country from 1990~ish until 2014. Got hired as an aviation fueler at an FBO, fueling aircraft at the same airport my dad would bring me to to watch airplanes at. Getting to see such cool stuff that I wanted to share, I then started an aviation photography hobby. That endeavor, combined with social media, allowed me to do and see things I could only ever dream of doing, as an aviation enthusiast.
It was during this time that I was introduced to DCS in VR. It was not until 2022-2023 that I was able to have a capable rig to run everything smoothly however.
In 2022, I left the aviation fueling field, and by God's grace alone, I accepted a position at the same International airport, in the Airside Airport Management division.
Regarding DCS, I'm interested in flying the F-16. As to my effectiveness at employing the aircraft to it's full potential.. I would classify myself as a very green student. I am a VR, Open Kneeboard, SRS user.
I can:
Start up
Taxi
Takeoff
Basic formations: Fingertip, Route, LAB, Echelon, Fighting Wing
Land
In-Flight refueling is sketch, but I do plan to keep working on it.
Proper Comms use and common aviation brevity knowledge
TACAN/ILS operation
Employ 'dumb' ordnance
AIM9 and Gun. I'm still learning the nuances of using the radar and acquiring/prosecuting targets with the AIM-120. I can 'Bulldog' though.. LOL
I also recently repurposed a stand-alone numpad peripheral to use as my ICP though Haptic Perception. Have not had the opportunity to use it in MP flying though.

Regarding my ideal Squadron... I am looking for a 'family friendly' F-16 squadron staffed with mature adults. Mature, respectful, well spoken and knowledgeable squadron members, that are cognizant that family and work often take priority in others lives. A squadron that strives for the 'realism' of being in an active frontline squadron, yet relaxed and can operate effectively without the bovine excrement of having to virtually 'salute' others. An environment where squadron members conduct themselves in a manner that they would not be ashamed of, if their wife/kids/Grand children were witness to.

With that said, in the interest of full disclosure so I don't waste anyone's time...
I am a recently separated member of the v455th, but due to several computer related factors, a 'perfect storm' developed and with sincere regret, I felt it was time move on.
I'm happy to elaborate further if needed. I very much look forward to hearing from you.
