Head tracking

Anyone ever have problems getting the head tracking to calibrate correctly. I am using a web camra with beam. Couldn't do it with eye tracking. Just gives me a headache fast. But I am having problems trying to dile in the head tracking part and it is way to much or not enough head movement.

I run TrackIR and haven’t really had any issues as long as there isn’t a bunch of direct sunlight interfering with the IR beams. Once lighting is controlled, it’s rock solid.

A couple things that usually help a ton:
• Lower overall gain/sensitivity first, then finetune per axis
• Add a small deadzone so micro head movement doesn’t translate ingame
• Increase smoothing a bit to kill the jitter
• Make sure the webcam is centered and at eye levellighting matters more than you’d think

Okay. Thank you I will give that a try. I am thinking of putting a little money away for a vr set but that will be a few months down the road.

VR is forsure the way to go. Just make sure your GPU is atleast a 4080+ imo
Well I don't have to worry about head tracking anymore. Wife wanted to get me something for my birthday coming up soon and somthing nice. I joked that I wanted a VR set. We'll I came yesterday and she picked up a meta 3 VR set. So now I have more things to tweak. I have a awsome wife!

Outstanding. I believe Duchess Duchess or a few others can assist on settings to get the Quest 3 VR dialed in for DCS
