IN MEMORIAM ~ Recon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our squadron brother, Recon Recon F-16C Tail#88-0405 who lost his battle with cancer on Friday morning.

From the moment he joined up with us in the v303, Recon brought a unique energy, a quiet strength, and an unwavering commitment to the Makos despite his busy real-world schedule. He always showed up with humble integrity, and heart. Whether in training or combat sorties, he was always ready to support his flight, lend advice, or just share a laugh back in Discord. His calm presence on the radio made him the kind of guy who was really alot of fun to fly with in the hobby - even during the combat chaos of Operation Hedge of Protection!

Recon flew with distinction in some of our most notable operations:

To honor his memory, Recon’s F-16 will be placed on static display in every mission file from this point forward, a reminder of his volunteered time spent with us, spirit, and friendship.

You are cleared hot for the final flight, brother.
RIP Recon. You will always be wheels up in our hearts.
